Commercial roof & cladding design

Designing commercial cladding and roof materials involves looking at the functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, and regulatory compliance of the products we use, so we can create roofing and cladding in line with the vision you have for your build.
All these elements are essential when it comes to ensuring a structure is durable, energy efficient, and guaranteed to turn heads.

Dale Contracts provides full detailed roof and cladding designs, either as a standalone service or as part of your quote. Our drawings will include all the required calculations and will be supplied in whichever format you require (usually CAD or DWG).

We are well versed in the building regulations, fire safety legislation and environmental standards that will come into play for your project, and our designs will always be tailored to suit the practical needs of the building.
We are an experienced supplier of composite and insulated roof and cladding solutions and have worked on many successful commercial projects across Essex, London, and across the UK.

How our design
process works

Consultation:

We’ll typically start by looking at the building's purpose, location, and environmental conditions, as well as any budget constraints and architectural style preferences. For instance, a commercial building in a coastal area may require cladding materials that are resistant to salt corrosion, while we might need to incorporate higher insulation into some of our concepts if eco-efficiency is important to the client. Where necessary, we will carry out an onsite survey to collect the information we need to make the right recommendations.

Product selection:

Once we have a clear brief, we’ll start identifying the most appropriate systems for the job. There are plenty of options available, including metal, concrete, glass, wood, or composite materials, all of which offer different levels of durability, weather resistance, and thermal performance. Sustainable materials can also be used to align with green building standards and reduce the environmental impact of the build.

Technical analysis:

Our designers will then carry out a full technical analysis to ensure that the chosen materials meet structural and performance requirements. This may involve assessing load-bearing capacities, thermal conductivity, acoustic properties, fire resistance, and compatibility with other building components.

Collaboration:

We must make sure that our cladding and roofing systems can be seamlessly integrated with other building system requirements, including (but not limited to) HVAC, electrical, and plumbing networks. We will always work closely with engineers and architects throughout the build to ensure everything has been considered.

Finishing touches:

We can liaise with our manufacturers and fabricators to develop tailored solutions that include intricate detailing, patterns, textures, or special finishes.
